Call or text (650) 399-5889 for a free 10-minute consultation. We'll discuss your needs, answer your questions, and schedule your first session if we determine that in-home physical therapy is right for you.
Your first visit (60-75 minutes) includes a comprehensive evaluation of your strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility. I'll also assess your home environment for safety. We'll discuss your goals and concerns, and I'll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
I specialize in helping seniors with balance issues, fall prevention, mobility decline, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, arthritis, general weakness, and difficulty with daily activities. If you're unsure whether your condition is appropriate for in-home physical therapy, let's discuss it during your free consultation.
Your first session is typically 60-75 minutes for a comprehensive evaluation. Ongoing sessions are 45-60 minutes, depending on your needs and goals. Unlike rushed clinic appointments, you receive my full, undivided attention for the entire session.
This varies based on your individual condition and goals. Most clients see improvement within 4-8 weeks, with 1-2 sessions per week. Some clients need just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support. We'll discuss realistic expectations during your initial assessment.
Nothing. I bring all necessary equipment to your home, including resistance bands, balance tools, and anything else needed for your therapy. All you need is comfortable clothing and a willingness to work toward your goals.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. Athletic wear or casual clothes work well. For balance and mobility work, it's best to wear supportive shoes or non-slip socks.
Absolutely. When appropriate, I encourage family members or caregivers to participate. They can learn how to best support you and understand exercises or safety strategies that help between visits.
No, I operate on a private-pay basis. This means no insurance billing, but it also means no restrictions on your care. You receive personalized attention without insurance limitations on visit frequency or treatment duration. Many clients find that the quality and convenience of private-pay care is worth the investment.
Many families find tremendous value in private-pay care. You get longer sessions (45-60 minutes vs. 15-20 minutes in clinics), one-on-one attention throughout the entire visit, no insurance paperwork or authorization delays, treatment based on your needs rather than insurance limits, and the convenience of receiving care at home. Most importantly, you work with the same therapist every session, building trust and ensuring consistent, personalized care.
I accept cash, check, Venmo, and Zelle for payment. Payment is due at the time of service.
I provide home-based physical therapy throughout the Peninsula and South Bay, including Redwood City, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Atherton, San Carlos, Belmont, Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos, Mountain View, Los Gatos, and Saratoga. If you're unsure whether you're in my service area, please call.
In-home physical therapy allows me to assess and treat you in your actual living environment. I can identify fall hazards, practice navigating your specific stairs or furniture layout, and design exercises that fit your daily routine. There's no stressful travel, no waiting rooms, and no therapist juggling multiple patients at once. You receive my complete focus for the entire session.
I understand that life happens. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows me to offer the time slot to another client who may need care. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a fee.
